Shut off water & drain lines
Close the main valve and open a low tap to release residual pressure. Safety first.

Fit the HydroGuard valve
Install the inline valve using the provided fittings — standard 1/2″ to 2″ plumbing.

Connect the device to power. Open the HydroGuard app and pair via QR code — under 60 seconds.

How long does installation actually take?
A certified HydroGuard plumber typically completes a full install in 1-3 hours. kits take most homeowners around 2 hours including sensor placement and app setup.
Will the valve work if my Wi-Fi or power goes down?
Yes. HydroGuard has cellular fallback, on-device intelligence, and a battery backup — so the valve will still close on anomaly even during outages.
Does HydroGuard qualify me for insurance discounts?
Currently not in South Africa. Many US and European insurers offer 10–20% premium reductions for leak protection systems. HydroGuard is currently negotiating partnerships with several major insurance providers.
What happens if there's a false alarm?
You can dismiss or reopen the valve remotely from the app in one tap. HydroGuard’s AI learns from every dismissal to reduce false positives over time.
Can I use HydroGuard on a rental property?
